The office of Russian Universal Services, located in Los Angeles, California has become a hub in the local Russian Community. The office is a meeting place for a few local clubs and a few small events have been held with the company’s sponsorship. Russian Universal Services has noticed an increase in their business services as a result of their increased community visibility. They were surprised at the types of organizations that requested their space, but it has ended up benefitting all involved.
The office is quite small but has a very nice conference table area with plush chairs, coffee machine and great lighting. A local Russian mother’s club approached Russian Universal Services to utilize the space for their monthly meetings. These meetings do not involve their children, so the space was perfect. The ladies were able to bring food with them or order from local restaurants and use the space for a few hours per night. Russian Universal Services gave them the space for a nominal fee and just asked for advertising on their club website and by word-of-mouth.
As the company began to see, mothers are perhaps the best walking advertisements when they like something! Soon, the new clients who were coming into Russian Universal Services were saying they were recommended by the mothers or by people who knew them.
The Russian mother’s club led to some local Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops asking to use the space. They were not exclusively Russian, but the company felt it would still be worth the exposure. Their meetings averaged one time per week for each club and also began immediately working to the company’s advantage. Russian Universal Services began seeing clients who were affiliated with the clubs and referring family members, colleagues, etc. They definitely found that since they were teaming up with the right kinds of family-friendly organizations, their community reputation was growing increasingly strong.
